Indonesia is a country that has abundant culinary wealth such as Surabaya City for example which has many types of food preparations. In the city often found small stalls and angkringan that sell typical snacks such as fried foods, cat rice and one of them is quail egg satay.

In some areas, quail eggs are considered normal and not special. But behind its small shape, quail eggs have very high nutritional value and are very suitable for pregnant women. According to Cornell University researchers, New York, USA revealed that people who consume, can reduce the risk of infants exposed to diseases related to metabolism, high blood pressure, or diabetes.

On the other hand, processors and workers of quail satay often feel they get a little profit but they are drained with a lot of sweat. In addition, the process of quail satay egg processing is done manually, there is still no appropriate technology to assist the production process and the lack of knowledge of UKM is the main obstacle experienced by quail egg processing SMEs so far.

The problem has indeed become a major scourge for all culinary entrepreneurs boiled quail eggs, many entrepreneurs are trying to resolve the issue until now. As the results of the PKM Team's observation led by Dawn explained, "Quail eggs, even though they are small in shape, make the processing difficult, especially in the process of stripping, they must be careful because quail eggs are easily damaged and if damaged they cannot be processed into processed quail satay eggs," said Fajar explaining the complaints of PKM partners who had been submitted by him.

The need for attention to this, moving five students from the Faculty of Engineering, Surabaya State University, chaired by Fajar Septiawan, guided by Wahyu Dwi Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Pd. The five students joined in the Student Creativity Program in the Field of Technology Application (PKM-T) which applied their knowledge to solve problems that were happening to SME partners of quail satay processing by creating a unique innovation "MIBER KUY" Cleaning and Peeling Machine for Quail Eggshell Skins equipped with a Screw Conveyor system and Auto Washer to Increase Productivity and Effectiveness of Production in Surabaya Satay Quail Eggs Sate.

The machine was made for partners aiming to simplify and improve the productivity and economy of SMEs in Indonesia. Actually the quail egg peeler machine is already on the market, but it is not suitable if applied to medium level businesses. As one of the PKM T MIBERKUY team members said, "The production of quail egg paring machines already exists, but these machines are very expensive and are used for large-scale production processes. Quail egg processing for our partners if we use the machine certainly can not because it also has a very large size, therefore we with the knowledge that has been learned to design the machine, has made appropriate technology to increase the productivity of our partners ".

The work process of the machine is made driven by a motor and moves two shafts in different directions The egg stripping process occurs when the egg experiences friction between the shaft, the screw conveyor shaft and the hose shaft. Then cleaning is done with a hose that is above that is connected to the water pump, the process of cleaning with water occurs simultaneously with the stripping process.

"The advantages of MIBERKUY machines from other quail egg peeler machines are that it is easy to operate, easy to maintain and has a simple design," Dandy said.

The implementation of the PKM program is almost complete and the MIBERKUY team has found an announcement that PIMNAS has been declared. The process of monitoring the partners and preparing to get the PIMNAS gold medal is being carried out by Fajar and his team.

"We hope that after the implementation of the PKM and PIMNAS, partners and the community and students can continue this appropriate technological innovation by providing product innovations in addition to the quail egg peeler and cleaning machine. In addition, we hope the products we make can be utilized as well as possible and can be mass produced ", he continued.
